Toli Beruah
Toli Baruah, was born and raised in India. She and her husband Emmanuel moved this year to New Delhi to lead the church – the same church in which she became a disciple 22 years ago as a campus student. She is 42 years old and has two children, Deborah (15) and Lydia (11). After 20 years in full-time ministry, Toli is every bit as inspired by her dream job today as she was in her youth. “For me,” she says, “the greatest miracles have seen in the ministry is the Bible being opened to women who have not even heard of Jesus before and to see them come to such faith that they are willing to face any kind of opposition and persecution. When asked, what is she most proud of, as a women’s ministry leader, Toli says, “I have received so much grace! Being in the ministry has made me see so much of my heart and my sinful nature, and if not for grace...!!! Being in the ministry gives me more opportunities to pass on this amazing grace to so many in and outside the church who are hurting, blaming, in shame, hopeless and lost. I am so proud that I get to show them through the Word just how much they matter and how they can have a meaningful life in Christ here through all their pain and chaos and confusion and weaknesses – and a wonderful eternity to look forward to.
