More of God and Less of Me

Friday, August 14, 2020 | By: Jennifer Fuller, Charlotte Church, NC, USA

Because of the prophet Samuel’s relationship with God, he looked at the boy David and saw a king. David’s own father didn’t even invite David to the table when Samuel said to him, “bring before me all your sons.” In what way do I tend to look at people in my church family? This short video by Jennifer Fuller of the church in Charlotte, North Carolina, leaves us with a call to faithful vision and to prayer, that we may see in one another more of what God sees, and less of what our limited human perspective may reveal in the present moment.

Deciding to follow Jesus while a freshman at the University of Georgia changed Jennifer Avesian Fuller’s life in unexpected ways: the student that invited her to church later became her husband!  Now, married 30 years with two grown daughters, she has had careers in sales, in the full-time ministry, as an entrepreneur, and as a stay-at-home mom. She is a member of the Charlotte, North Carolina church of Christ.
