Temptation and Grace: Navigating Attraction and God’s Love

Jun 27, 2025 | By: Ellen Radcliff LMFT, Jacksonville, NC

In this episode Ellen & Morgan tackle the complex and often misunderstood topic of attraction and how Christians can navigate temptation with grace, truth, and self-awareness.

Starting with the question, "Should we fear temptation or lean into it to better understand our desires?" Morgan and Ellen explore the roots of temptation as an ache for Eden—a longing for connection and fulfillment only God can truly satisfy.

With raw honesty and practical wisdom, they discuss:

    • Why temptation itself isn’t the enemy, but an opportunity for self-reflection and connection with God.

    • The importance of grieving the voids in our lives while seeking God’s guidance.

    • How to set healthy boundaries and navigate relationships in ways that honor faith and avoid shame.

Filled with relatable analogies, personal reflections, and spiritual insights, this episode will encourage listeners to embrace their humanity, face temptations without fear, and lean into God’s unending grace.

Ellen Radcliff, LMFT, LCMHC, NCC is a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and licensed therapist passionate about helping believers navigate life’s complexities with both truth and grace.

She is the founder and President of Heart Set Above, a nonprofit equipping Christians to deepen intimacy with God, self, and others.
